  • Museum of Science and Industry 5700 South Lake Shore Drive Chicago, IL, 60637 United States (map)

The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, contains more than 35,000 artifacts. Many of them have never been seen by Museum guests—until now. On Friday, October 21, explore some of the quirkiest artifacts kept in the Museum’s Collection during this adults-only party. Enjoy cocktails, food, music and sit in on an in-depth conversation, led by the hosts of WBEZ’s “Nerdette” podcast, as they learn about the history of some of these odd objects from MSI’s director of collections and head curator, Kathleen McCarthy.

Admission costs $25 and includes free on-site parking, snacks, a complimentary cocktail and exclusive access to MSI’s exhibits. Guests can experience the Museum’s newest temporary exhibit Above and Beyond as well as Brick by Brick, Numbers In Nature: A Mirror Maze, Science Storms, YOU! The Experience and other popular exhibitions. A cash bar will also be available.
